Basement Jam!

Wow! Only word that did Sunday justice...

Rachel was brilliant(as ever!), so were the others, including her "Muffin Man"! The studio felt like a little smoky jazz club, with plush gold chairs (apparently hired out for weddings usually!), red velvetine cloths and candles on each table. Rachel was right when she wrote how pleased she was with how it looked.

I picked up 2 of Simon's CDs, STis and the Casbah Club 5-song jobbie. Both were played out loud on the drive back home. Those Townshends (and Fullers!) are just too generous, with a very cheap bar just as you entered the Boathouse. I half-imagined the artists to open the green doors and shout "Welcome!" to all the 'blogging disciples' Very Tommy-esque mind I must have!

Monday wasn't as good; ripped my ankle badly. Feet aren't meant to crack loudly, then make crunching noises are they? Had it bandaged up since then, in ice and plenty of painkillers too. Seems to have done it wonders, and it is at least the same colour as the other foot now! Probably is just a bad strain, so nothing my body can't solve by itself!

Hey Ben

Thanks for the message on Rachel's site. You're from Wycombe - we could have travelled together to Basement Jam - wasn't it amazing!!!

Talking of Desborough road eateries, have you tried Anong Thai?
